It got its name after the 1925 Exposition internationale des arts décoratifs et industriels modernes (International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts) held in Paris. The new season for Watts recently got underway at Pinjar Park Speedway with the opening West Coast Outlaw Karts Series round and he managed to start his campaign on a winning note when he drove to an impressive feature-race victory in the Box Stock class.įor Watts, his next outing is going to be on the Saturday, October 15 back at Pinjar Park Speedway for the second West Coast Outlaw Karts Series round.īraxton Watts is proudly supported by the following 2022-23 season sponsors: Looking ahead to the future, Watts is aiming to climb up the ranks in the Outlaw Karts in the coming years, but his long-term goal is to eventually get to 410 Sprintcar racing.Īpart from his home track of Pinjar Park Speedway, Watts is this season set to compete at the Perth Motorplex, Esperance Speedway and Kalgoorlie Speedway tracks.
After his time as a competitor, Jeff, who has always had a passion for speedway that traces back to his early years living in Sydney NSW on the east coast and in fact his dad Bob was a pit crew member for Sid Hopping during his Super Modified days in the 1970s, began pit crewing for Sprintcar teams in Western Australia in the early 2000s, when he began helping Kendrick Racing when the likes of Jeff Leisk and Ken Sartori were the team’s drivers. It was in Saloon Cars where he picked up his career highlight when he scored Western Australian State Championship honours. Jeff competed throughout the 1990s on the tar circuits by regularly competing at Perth’s Wanneroo Raceway and during this period he was a front-running contender in firstly in HQ Holdens and then later Saloon Cars. To say that Watts has motorsport running through his veins would be quite the understatement, as his dad, Jeff, has a long history in motorsport – both as a competitor and a pit crew member.

The nine-year-old, who resides in Perth’s Swan Valley region in Western Australia, is currently in his second full season of speedway racing running in the Outlaw Karts Box Stock class.Ĭommencing his speedway career midway through 2020-21 season in the Beginner Box Stock class, Watts took to the class like a duck to water by being competitive from the outset and he went on to become undefeated to claim a total of four out of four feature-race wins at his home track of Pinjar Park Speedway.įor the 2021-22 season, Watts moved up to the Outlaw Karts Box Stock class where he earned one feature-race win, a third place in the Western Australian State Title and fourth in the West Coast Outlaw Kart Series despite missing five rounds due to a hand injury sustained while playing basketball.
Braxton Watts is a youngster with a massive passion for motorsport, and he is following in the family’s motorsport tyre tracks via dirt track speedway in the West Coast Outlaw Kart Series.
